    Mandate

    		 Find a technical and strategic CFO that could systemize the entire accounting function while fighting fires and closing the month end and quarter end with only two junior support personnel to start. The department also needed someone strategic to deal with banking, M&A & drive cross functional improvements long term.

    Process

    		 We searched the entire east coast city where this company is located. We created a project of everyone in the entire vicinity + two other cities that were within an hour flight. We searched public accounting firms, large conglomerates like oil firms and government organizations, but the real emphasis was someone who had worked for an entrepreneur or a smaller, growing business.

    Result

    		 The role took 6 months to attract and a aquire the CFO that has exceeded expectations. This was not a straight line search. We were denied initially but the executive team rallied behind one person who they really liked to ultimately get her to join.
